Miro Comments on Current AEW Absence & Potential Return

As noted before, Miro has been absent from AEW since this past September. The reason for Miro’s absence is believed to be due to creative-related plans issues between the two sides.

A recent episode of MUSE TV had Miro as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Miro’s thoughts on a potential return to AEW within the near future.

“It’s not up to me. I’m doing everything I can and from then on, I’m just sitting and waiting for the opportunity.”

Arn Anderson Clarifies Status of His AEW Contract

AdFreeShows held a recent Q&A session with Arn Anderson as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Anderson revealing that his current contract with AEW expires in about a year and a half and is currently planning on retiring afterwards.

Anderson recently clarified his comments on Twitter stating that he misspoke when he stated that he would be leaving AEW and wrestling after 2023 and instead is currently hopeful of being able to be around as long as possible in both the company and wrestling industry.


AEW News & Notes

Warner Bros Discovery recently announced that AEW’s programming in Germany will be moving over to their free-to-air channel DMAX starting on January 29, 2023.

AEW recently announced that their weekly Dynamite and Rampage shows will no longer air on Space TV in Brazil after the end of this year. It was announced that FITE TV’s AEW Plus will be the new home for their weekly shows in Brazil.

AEW also recently announced that they will be holding a new set of AEW Dark tapings this Saturday at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

AEW also recently announced that they will be holding a new set of Dynamite and Rampage shows on March 22, 2023 at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri. It was also announced that they will be holding a new set of Dynamite and Rampage shows on April 5, 2023 at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York. Tickets for both upcoming sets of shows was also announced to officially go on sale starting on December 23rd.

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2022 special featured classic NBA on NBC theme song “Roundball Rock” as the intro song for the show. AEW CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that he had recently purchased the rights to the song, which he stated was his favorite, to use in AEW.

As noted before, Jeff Hardy was arrested this past June in Volusia County, Florida following a drunk driving incident. Hardy has been out of action for AEW since that time due to his current suspension over his DUI arrest. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Hardy is currently scheduled to attend a pre-trial hearing on December 21st based on recent court records. Johnson reported that Hardy’s attendance for this upcoming hearing will be mandatory.
