Impact TV Tapings No Surrender 2023 Fallout Night 1 Spoilers – New Champions, Yuya Uemura Injury

Impact Wrestling held their first of two nights of new Impact! television tapings on Saturday at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas, Nevada. This new set of tapings focused on the fallout from Impact’s No Surrender 2023 event this past Friday.

In regards to notable moments, one of Impact’s championships changed hands during the tapings. This involved Bullet Club’s Chris Bey and Ace Austin defeating The Motor City Machine Guns to be crowned the new Impact World Tag Team Champions.

In regards to injuries, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Yuya Uemura suffered a potential neck injury during his match against Callihan at the tapings. This injury occurred following a powerbomb spot by Callihan resulting in Uemura landing awkwardly on his neck and needing immediate medical treatment. Based on a person who attended the tapings, Uemura was able to walk with some assistance to the backstage following a lengthy time of medical treatment.

  • Bullet Club’s Chris Bey and Ace Austin gave an in-ring promo that was interrupted by The Motor City Machine Guns. This segment ended with Bey and Austin issuing a match challenge to Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin for their Impact World Tag Team Championship.
  • “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Shane Haste
  • Kenny King defeated Kevin Knight
  • Mickie James gave an in-ring promo directed towards Jordynne Grace but was interrupted by Gisele Shaw. This led to Gail Kim making an appearance and announcing that Shaw would challenge James for her Impact Knockouts World Championship on the show.
  • PCO vs. Trey Miguel ended in a No Contest following Eddie Edwards coming out and attacking PCO with a shovel. This resulted in a brawl between the two that was broken up by Impact security.
  • Impact World Tag Team Championship – Ace Austin & Chris Bey defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (c)
  • Bully Ray gave an in-ring promo directed towards Tommy Dreamer, who had challenged him to a “Busted Open Match” following their Busted Open Live segment at No Surrender 2023 this past Friday. Bully stated that he’s not even sure what a Busted Open match is. Impact Director of Authority Santino Marella then came out and made a match between Bully and Bhupinder Gujjar
  • Bhupinder Gujjar defeated Bully Ray via Disqualification following Bully Ray hitting Gujjar with a low blow. Dreamer ran out to make the save leading to Masha Slamovich running out to help Bully. This led to Mickie James coming out with a kendo stick to even up the odds.
  • Sami Callihan vs. Yuya Uemura ended in a No Contest due to Uemura suffering a head injury. Uemura received medical treatment from a couple of EMTs with Impact Executive VP Scott D’Amore, KUSHIDA, Rhyno, and Dreamer coming out to attend to him.
  • KUSHIDA defeated Jonathan Gresham via Submission
  • Killer Kelly gave a promo directed towards Taylor Wilde resulting in Wilde coming out to confront Kelly. KiLynn King made a surprise appearance attacking Kelly with a chair shot and aligned herself with Wilde in the process.
  • Impact Knockouts World Championship – Mickie James (c) defeated Gisele Shaw. During the match, Deonna Purrazzo came out and helped prevent Shaw from cheating her way to a title victory. Following the match, Shaw and her crew of Jai Vidal and Savannah Evans stared down James and Purrazzo.
  • Josh Alexander defeated KENTA. Following the match, Alexander praised KENTA and said he can have a rematch anytime in the future.
