Action Andretti Feeling “100 Percent Healthy” After Injury Scare at AEW Dark Tapings

AEW held a new set of AEW Dark tapings this past Friday at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Among those who worked at the tapings was Action Andretti, who suffered a potential head injury during his match against Slim J in a singles match. This match was quickly called off by the match referee and Andretti was given immediate medical attention at ringside and helped to the backstage for more treatment.

Andretti recently provided an update on Twitter stating that he did not suffer any serious injury and is feeling “100 percent healthy” after his injury scare. Andretti also thanked AEW’s medical team and staff for ensuring his wellbeing was taken care of and also the fans for their support towards him.

CM Punk Injury Update Status

As noted before, CM Punk was involved in a backstage fight incident following AEW’s All Out 2022 event this past September and is currently not expected to return to the company. Punk was involved in an online incident this past week bashing Jon Moxley over issues he claimed regarding their AEW World title feud last year and Chris Jericho for being a “liar and a stooge.”

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that CM Punk was originally hopeful of being fully recovered from his triceps injury by late January but the current belief is that he will be able to be medically cleared very soon. It was reported that Punk was not involved in the filming of season 2 of Heels for television network Starz despite him recently posting a photo from the set.

In regards to Punk attending New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Battle in the Valley 2023 event this past February in San Jose, California, it was reported that nobody from NJPW were aware beforehand that Punk would be attending the event but they would have still welcomed him regardless. NJPW officials reportedly had contacted AEW once they learned Punk was at their show to clear up any potential issues, which was stated be cleared very quickly. It was also reported that the only people who knew beforehand of Punk attending the show was Lars Frederiksen, Lou D’Angeli, and Rob Naylor. NJPW talent and official Rocky Romero was informed by Frederiksen if he could bring a friend along with him for the show but never revealed this person to be Punk.

Trench & Parker Boudreaux Reportedly Suffered Injuries

The Mogul Affiliates’ Trench and Parker Boudreaux have been absent from AEW since this past February and earlier this month respectively for storyline injury reasons.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the real reason for Trench and Boudreaux’s current absence is due to both had recently suffered legitimate injuries. Details regarding their injuries was not given.

This reportedly was the reason why AEW booked storyline injury angles for both guys for Swerve Strickland’s current feud with Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee.
