Hangman Adam Page Clarifies Past Comments About Not Listening to Veterans Advice

In a video post on Instagram earlier today, Hangman Adam Page clarified past comments he made about his lack of interest in listening to career advice from veterans.

“The reports that i ‘don’t take advice’ have been greatly exaggerated, perhaps by no one more so than me. advice and feedback, particularly from those who have come before, have always been and always will be welcomed and appreciated. my self-deprecating and dry insistence otherwise just comes from a place of being more personally interested in wrestling as an art than a sport.  it would’ve been hollow for Picasso to try to paint a Mona Lisa.

I kinda thought I’d have been asked about it by now and could’ve clarified.  i just wouldn’t want any of the older generation, especially those whose work with us is vital and unknown to fans, to feel that their wisdom is dismissed.

I am also still in search of the cheese puffs.  Let me know if you find them.  thank you.”

Page’s clarification was in reference to comments he had made at the GalaxyCon 2022 convention this past August about his stubbornness over listening to advice from others for his career. Page’s comments were later reference by CM Punk during his infamous All Out 2022 post-show media scrum rant about Page and others in AEW.

“Oh boy, I don’t know, I’m stubborn, I don’t take advice. It’s a good question and that’s probably the honest answer. I listen to people say things, but very rarely do I listen hard. I was part of the movement that created the entire company and I’m a world champion. I don’t know that I need their advice. I’ll certainly listen, but there is something to be said about trial and error and doing it on our own. I take more pride in that.”

Prince Nana Comments on Mogul Embassy’s Plans to Add More Affiliates into the Group

A recent episode of The Sessions with Renee Paquette podcast had Prince Nana as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Nana’s thoughts on the Mogul Affiliates plans to add more members to the merged group in the future.

“It’s a beautiful thing to see Ring of Honor go from a company that — a lot of people don’t know, I did a lot for the company behind the scenes as well. To see it go from being what it was to what it is today, almost like a cornerstone for the rest of the major companies and in the world. So, I’m just glad to see that it’s doing well, glad to be back as one of the cornerstones in the company. Out of everyone that’s on the roster ever, I think I was able to bring the most character to the company and continue to bring that character to the company in a different way with beasts like Brian Cage and Gates of Agony, you know, who are killing it right now as the Six-Man World Champions and then on the flip side of things with cool, calm and collected Swerve Strickland. Let me tell you something, I’ve known Swerve Strickland his whole career (and) to see him go from… ‘Hey, how are you? Hey, hi, how are you sir? Nice to meet you sir’ to who he is today, unbelievable. So proud of him. He is going to be a problem. He is going to be a problem in the wrestling industry. Give it six more months of what we have planned and what we’re going to put together and the affiliates that we have involved that we’re going to be bringing into the picture, Renée… (Nana laughed).”
