Updated Card for Next Week’s NXT Spring Breakin 2023 Special

Five New Matches Added to NXT Spring Breakin 2023

Tuesday’s NXT show featured five new matches added to the card of next week’s NXT Spring Breakin 2023 special.

The first new match announced was a singles match of Bron Breakker vs. Duke Hudson. This match was made following a heated promo segment between Breakker and Hudson over Breakker’s insults to the crowd and Chase U’s Andre Chase.

The second new match announced was a Trunk match of Tony D’Angelo & Stacks vs. Pretty Deadly. In a backstage interview segment, Pretty Deadly gave their thoughts about D’Angelo and Stacks recent attack on them and challenged them to a tag team match. In a restaurant segment later in the show, D’Angelo and Stacks discussed Pretty Deadly’s challenge to them leading to D’Angelo revealing that he added the stip of it being held as a Trunk match with the only way to win is by stuffing your opponents in a car trunk.

The third new match announced was a Triple Threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Following Roxanne Perez’s victory over Zoey Stark in a match, NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell confronted Perez and offered her a title match for next week’s Spring Breakin show. Perez accepted the challenge but was then interrupted by Tiffany Stratton, who insulted both Hartwell and Perez. This led to an upset Hartwell extending her offer to Stratton making it a Triple Threat match instead.

The fourth new match announced was a singles match of Cora Jade vs. Lyra Valkyrie. Following Jade’s victory over Gigi Dolin with some help by Jayce Jane, Valkyrie interrupted Jade’s post-match celebration and stated that she managed to get a match booked between them for NXT’s Spring Breakin show next week.

The fifth and final new match announced was a Mixed Tag Team match of Fallon Henley & Josh Briggs vs. Kiana James & Brooks Jensen. Earlier in the show, Briggs went to James office asking James to help patch things up between him and Jensen. Shortly afterwards, Jensen appeared sporting a new look and told Briggs that they are not like a family anymore and for Briggs to leave at once. In a follow-up segment, Jensen and James showed up to Henley’s bar leading to Briggs thinking that Jensen would be apologizing to him over his actions earlier. Instead, Jensen stated that he had meant everything he had told Briggs earlier and the reason why they showed up was due to him issuing a mixed tag team match challenge between the four at NXT’s show next week.
