Minneapolis Reportedly Finalist for WrestleMania 41 Host

The city of Minneapolis reportedly is one of the finalists for the host city of WWE’s WrestleMania 41 event in 2025, according to CBS Minnesota.

CBS Minnesota special contributor Patrick Kessler reported on Twitter that his sources stated that Minneapolis, Minnesota is one of the finalists to be the host city for the event.

BREAKING: Sources tell me Minneapolis is a finalist city for @WrestleMania 2025. This would be a HUGE get,” Kessler wrote. “#WrestleMania drew 161,892 fans over two nights @SoFiStadium in Los Angeles earlier this month.

If WWE were to select Minneapolis as the host, this would be the first time ever in WrestleMania history that a WrestleMania event would take place in the state of Minnesota. The location for the event if the city is chosen by WWE likely would be at the U.S. Bank Stadium, which is the home venue home of the NFL team Minnesota Vikings.

Madcap Moss Given Name Change Back to Riddick Moss

More on Decision for New World Title Debut

As noted before, this past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Chicago, Illinois featured the official debut of a new World Heavyweight Championship in WWE. WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque had stated during his announcement that this new World title belt would be exclusive to whichever brand did not draft Roman Reigns as part of this year’s WWE Draft.

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that their sources stated that Levesque and not WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon was the key person who made the decision to introduce a new World Championship in the company. McMahon reportedly was not involved in the decision making process for this new belt.

In regards to the reason for the new World title belt, Barrasso reported that Levesque wanted both of WWE’s main brands, RAW and SmackDown, to each have their own top championship. This decision reportedly was also related to Levesque’s past ties to WWE’s original World Heavyweight Championship, which debuted in 2002 and involved Levesque being crowned as its inaugural champion.
