AEW: New TV Deal with WBD Update, Jack Perry on His Promos Weakness, Fight Forever Update

AEW’s New TV Deal with Warner Bros Discovery Update

As noted before, AEW is currently expected to officially announce next week that they have signed a new television deal with Warner Bros Discovery. This new deal is also currently expected to involve the official debut of AEW’s new television series called Collision and also involve the upcoming return of CM Punk.

PWTorch’s Wade Keller reported that his sources stated that AEW’s new television deal with Warner Bros Discovery is around $240 million per year for five years in length. This new deal reportedly will include AEW’s upcoming new weekly Collision series and a streaming content agreement with WBD’s Max service.

This would be almost $200 million more than AEW’s current TV deal with WBD that is around $43-$44 million per year.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry Comments on His Promos Weakness in AEW

WhatCulture held a recent interview with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. One of the topics discussed included Perry’s thoughts on his issues with delivering promos in AEW and why promos are not his favorite thing to do in his wrestling career.

“Yeah, with the promo thing, I didn’t really think about that on the indies. All I really wanted to do is wrestling. When I was a kid, I wanted to wrestle and do cool stuff. I feel like I’ve got that down. For the most part, I feel pretty competent. I could go in there with anyone in the world and throw down. The promos, I got a lot of flack in the beginning when I said I want to run away when they make me do it. People thought that was a literal thing. It’s an expression.

It’s not my favorite thing to do. I’m never going to be like MJF and show up and request 30 minutes to go out there and blabber on. That being said, I don’t really care anymore. I’d like to improve a little every time as I go. It is what it is. It’s got to be done. I’m not that worried about it, and I’m feeling more comfortable all the time.”
