Friday’s Plato o Plomo event for House of Glory featured Matt Cardona defeating Carlito by disqualification to retain his HOG Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, Carilto gave a promo to the live crowd stating that the rumors and reports of him recently signing a contract with WWE are true.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed that Carlito and WWE officials had held recent talks regarding Carilto signing a potential contract with the company. It was reported that Carlito had also recently pulled out of another upcoming scheduled booking for an indie event in Lexington, Kentucky.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Carlito’s name had yet to be officially added to WWE’s current internal roster list as of the time of his report on Friday.
