AEW: Jade Cargill on Her AEW Status, Thunder Rosa Injury Update, Chris Jericho on Talk with CM Punk at All In

Jade Cargill Comments on Her Status in AEW

As noted before, Jade Cargill has been on a break from AEW and wrestling since this past May.

A recent episode of the Women’s Wrestling Talk podcast featured Cargill as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cargill’s thoughts about her being in constant contact with AEW CEO Tony Khan during her time away from the company.

“I am, always (in contact with Tony Khan). He’s a phenomenal boss. I can hit him up now. He’ll probably hit me up in three minutes and this is a man who has four companies like a professional soccer team, Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s busy, he literally comes to every show. He is so passionate, he loves our company. There’s no other place I would wanna be. He doesn’t look at me as a number. He looks at me like a human being and he knows my journey and he understands my purpose in the wrestling community and what I want to achieve and I don’t think you can beat that. You can’t beat this in a very interesting sport.”

Cargill also gave her thoughts about her current absence from the company.

“Hate me or love me, I’m still making money. I can care less. I love our fans. My fan base is the best. The Jade Cargill fan base is the best. That’s undeniable. You know, I started out with a great, I’m surrounded with nothing but greats and the greats in the wrestling community want me to succeed. There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from becoming nothing but a household name and a great. So it feels phenomenal that our fans want me back. I mean, why wouldn’t they? Who else is Jade Cargill? Nobody.”

Thunder Rosa Injury Update – Rosa Reportedly Set to Make Return “Anytime” Soon

As noted before, Thunder Rosa has been out of action for AEW since September of 2022 due to her suffering a spinal-related injury.

Figthful Select reported that their sources stated that Rosa has recovered enough from her injury that she could return to the ring at almost “any time” once AEW has creative plans in place for her.

It was reported that Rosa had spoken to some people at this past weekend’s Starrcast VI indicating that she is ready to return and their sources within AEW also indicated that she is ready for an in-ring return.

It was also reported that it is currently not known when Rosa will actually be making her return to the company.

Chris Jericho Comments on Talk with CM Punk at AEW All In & CM Punk’s Firing

A recent episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast featured host Chris Jericho’s thoughts about CM Punk’s recent firing from AEW and a conversation he had with Punk backstage at AEW’s All In event earlier this month.

“I don’t want to dwell on this or talk about, but I should address it. CM Punk, no longer with AEW, Wembley was his last match, which what a way to go out if you’re going to go out. I did speak to him, briefly, I was going to do a frankensteiner off the top, and I know that he does that sometimes, so I was curious if he was going to do it. I went and talked to him for a bit, asked if he was going to do it, he wasn’t. I told him I was going to do the GTS, with a straight face, and I think for a second he thought that I was going to. I was joking, of course. I did see him that day. It’s a regretful moment, what happened, but Tony Khan made his decision. CM Punk was a big part of AEW from the time he was here and if you’re going to go out, he went out on top by having this big match with Samoa Joe in a sold out stadium. That’s my thoughts on that.”

Jericho also confirmed the reports of AEW officials had scrambled around to potentially change the match order of their All In event following Punk’s backstage fight with Jack Perry.
