Johnny Gargano Comments on His Return from Injury & DIY Reunion at This Past Monday’s RAW Show

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show featured Johnny Gargano making his surprise return from injury and reuniting D.I.Y. with Tommaso Ciampa.

Gargano recently reflected on Twitter about his recent return and D.I.Y. reunion at this past Monday’s RAW show.

In regards to Gargano’s return, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Gargano’s return was a late decision made by WWE officials.

Plans for Gargano’s return reportedly were only locked in this past weekend and Gargano had traveled to the San Jose in early Monday and was kept hidden backstage until it was time for him to make his surprise appearance on the show.


Jade Cargill Reportedly Scheduled to Attend This Saturday’s WWE Fastlane 2023

As noted before, WWE signed former AEW talent Jade Cargill to an official contract with the company this past September.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials have currently scheduled for Cargill to be in attendance at this Saturday’s WWE Fastlane 2023 event in Indianapolis, Indiana. Details regarding if this will be a televised appearance or just her attending the event backstage was not given.

As noted before, Tuesday’s NXT show featured Dominik Mysterio defeated Trick Williams to become the new NXT North American Champion. WrestleOps reported that as a result of his loss, Williams set a new all-time record for shortest ever reign as NXT North American Champion at just three days.

PWInsider’s Paul Jordan reported that WWE and Hulu are believed to have recently signed another short term extension for their current streaming contract. Jordan reported that the belief is due to a recent update on Hulu that now lists new extended expiration dates for WWE’s content on the service.

As noted before, Major League Wrestling’s original antitrust lawsuit against WWE was dismissed this past February and had filed a new amended lawsuit this past March. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a court hearing is currently scheduled to take place on October 26th before the United States District Court California Northern District (San Jose)  California based on recent court records. Johnson reported that this hearing will determine if WWE’s defenses against MLW’s lawsuit MLW against them will stand to scrutiny before the court and will be allowed to proceed.

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in San Jose, California featured Judgement Day’s Rhea Ripley stating that Damian Priest was not medically cleared to compete on the show for why his scheduled match with Jey Uso would no longer take place. Details regarding the nature of cause of Priest’s medical situation were not given by Ripley nor are currently known.

As noted before, Erik has been out of action for WWE since this past September due to an unknown injury. This past Monday’s RAW show featured RAW brand commentator Wade Barrett providing an injury update for Erik stating that he is currently expected to be out of action for the “foreseeable future.” No other details regarding the nature nor severity of Erik’s injury was given.

Endeavor and TKO Group recently announced that CEO Ari Emanuel will be making an appearance at Bloomberg’s Screentime conference on October 11th.

As noted before, WWE announced thus past September that next year’s Elimination Chamber will be taking place on February 24, 2024 in Perth, Australia. The Western Austrian reported that the Western Australian tourism council is currently expecting WWE’s upcoming event to generate an economic boost of around 33 million Australian dollars for the state.

WWE recently announced that FOX will be airing a Too 25 Moments in WWE SmackDown History special on their network on October 8th.
