TNA: TNA Exercises Contract Option for Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin Contract Expiring This May, Ace Steel Confirms Working in TNA

TNA Announces Picks Up Contract Option Extension for Josh Alexander

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that TNA Wrestling recently exercised the option year for Josh Alexander’s contract with the company extending his current contract through next year.

Barrasso reported that the terms of Alexander’s contract extension are currently not known.

In an interview in the report, Alexander commented about his option year being picked up by TNA.

“TNA, those are the letters that inspired me to get in the ring and chase this wild dream. TNA picking up the option means I have a lot of work to do, and I’m excited to put in the work and make it happen …

I’ve worked so hard to be in this position. At the end of this contract, I’ll have been with TNA for six years. We’ll see how this year goes. With new management coming in, things are going to be changing. I just hope it continues to be an amazing place. Right now, I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.”

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Alexander’s current contract would have expired on February 14th had TNA not picked up the option year in his deal. It was reported that Alexander’s newly extended contract is now set to expire on February 14, 2025.

It was also reported that the reason for Alexander’s contract renewal was not due to injury time being added to his deal. Alexander reportedly worked as a backstage producer for TNA while he was out injured which allowed time to continue on his contract and not be frozen.

Steve Maclin’s TNA Contract Reportedly Set to Expire This May

Steve Maclin’s contract with TNA Wrestling reportedly is currently set to expire this May, according to Fightful Select.

It was reported that their sources stated that it is currently not known if Maclin and TNA officials have held talks yet regarding a potential new deal for Maclin.

A recent episode of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast featured Steel as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Steel confirming that he has been working as a backstage producer for TNA.
