Christopher Daniels In-Ring Future Update
This Saturday’s AEW Collision show will be featuring a Texas Death Match between Hangman Adam Page and Christopher Daniels. This match and show was taped on Thursday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Daniels’ match against Page was meant to be his retirement match for his wrestling career and he has officially retired as an in-ring wrestler following Thursday’s tapings.
Prior to his retirement, Daniels had been wrestling since 1993 and worked for a variety of notable promotions including WCW, WWE, ECW, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Lucha Libre AAA, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and AEW.
Saraya Explains Reason for Her Current AEW Absence
Saraya has been noticeably absent from AEW television since this past October and had revealed this past November that she was taking a break for outside television projects.
In a recent response to a fan, Saraya provided an update on Twitter stating that her current absence from AEW has nothing to do with her choice of wearing non-AEW wrestling shirts and instead was simply due to AEW CEO Tony Khan granting her time off. Saraya also responded to the fan’s complaint over her choice to wear a Stone Cold Steve Austin shirt and not an AEW shirt for photos she had posted.
“You’re so moronic. I asked for time off for the first time in my career for personal reasons and Tony was gracious enough to give me that. Also I’m a 32 year old woman. I can wear whatever tf I want.”

Eddie Kingston Comments on Missing “Euphoric” Feeling of Being in the Ring & His Post-Wrestling Career Plans
As noted before, Eddie Kingston has been out of action for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling since this past May due to a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries and underwent surgery this past July.
Former WWE and AEW talent Cezar Bononi recently released a new video featuring Kingston as the guest on his YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Kingston’s thoughts about him missing the “euphoric” feeling of being in the ring.
“I feel free when I’m in the ring. I’m not worried about bills, if something happened at home, backstage, nothing. I’m free. I am Eddie Kingston — full mind, body, and soul,” he said. “And a lot of times I don’t remember matches until I watch them. I’ll remember it like right after when I’m talking like right after the match, but once I’m done with the match and I’ve taken a shower, I forget everything. And the only way I remember is if I watch. It’s almost like an out-of-body experience.
That’s what I miss the most. And that’s why, when I come back — I can’t wait. Just for that feeling. Everything else, I don’t care. I don’t care about talking to this person, that person, I don’t care [laughs]. I just miss that feeling of being free. Like, I wish everybody had that. You know what I mean? Just one thing. I wish everyone had that one moment in their lives, whether it’s for 12 [minutes], eight minutes, five minutes, where it’s just total, unbelievable euphoria. That’s what I feel when I’m in the ring. That freedom is euphoric for me.”
Kingston also gave his thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and post-wrestling plans.
“I would like to be somewhere, nowhere. That’s always been my thing. People who have known me for years, when I was planning on leaving wrestling, before everything happened, I was looking up jobs in Alaska because I know how to weld. I just wanted to be away. Once I’m done with wrestling, I’m away. I’ll have a flip phone or landline.”
