Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Grand Slam Australia show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia featured AEW announcing a new International Championship Series tournament to determine the official AEW Intercontinental Championship match at this March’s Revolution 2025 event in Los Angeles.
It was announced that this will be a three-man tournament with Orange Cassidy facing off against Roderick Strong in a First Round match at next week’s AEW Dynamite show on February 19th in Phoenix, Arizona.
It was announced that the winner of this match will be facing Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International title at the AEW Dynamite show in two weeks on February 26th in San Diego, California.
It was also announced that Kenny Omega will be facing the winner of this International Championship Series for the AEW International title at Revolution 2025.
