The Hurt Syndicate Comments on Their Goals for AEW Careers & Potential of Cedric Alexander Joining Group in Future

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured the Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, & MVP) as the guests. One of the topics discussed included MVP’s thoughts about the current goals for their AEW careers.

“When we decided that we were going to get the band back together, we knew that — realistically speaking — this is the last ride. This is it. This is our last run and then we’re going to ride off into the sunset. Even though we’re in tremendous shape, we are still in our later years. The whole idea with what we want to do on our way out the door is make some stars. And it’s one thing just to put guys over. No, that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about trying to take some of the equity that we’ve built up through the years and now reestablish that equity at AEW. And then when the time is right, with the right young talent, transfer that equity and make somebody.

Benjamin gave his thoughts about him still having the goal of becoming a World Champion in a prominent company before he retires.

“I’m working every day to make sure that dream stays alive.”

Lashley also gave his thoughts about also wanting to become a World Champion again in the future for his wrestling career.

MVP and Lashley also gave their thoughts about the potential of Cedric Alexander joining the Hurt Syndicate in the future.

MVP – “I believe he is still on his 90 days.”

Bobby Lashley – “We love Ced, he’s like our little brother, so we will see what happens.”

Tony Khan Comments on Him Talking to Bryan Danielson Nearly Every Day

A recent episode of the Way of the Blade podcast featured AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about how he talks to Bryan Danielson nearly every day since Danielson’s full-time in-ring career retirement.

“I still work with Bryan Danielson. He’s still a big part of my office. He’s not on the show, and he’s been injured and maybe retired for good, but he’s never said he’s done for good, and I hope that there’s some possibility he will be able to return to wrestling from the injuries and the way he left, but he’s still a part of AEW, so I’m still very fortunate to work with Bryan. I talk to Bryan almost every day. He’s got a great mind for wrestling, and he’s somebody that I’m really pleased and blessed came into AEW and got involved with us. He’s a great person in and out of the ring, and he’s a great leader in AEW.”
