Charlotte Flair Comments on Wanting to Tap More of Her Real Self & Her Current Character Not Being Relatable
PEOPLE held a recent interview with Charlotte Flair. One of the topics discussed included Flair’s thoughts about her belief that her “Charlotte” character in WWE is not relatable and her wanting to tap more of her real life self for her character instead. This interview was held prior to Flair’s match against Tiffany Stratton at last weekend’s WrestleMania 41 event.
“On the opposite side of WrestleMania, I think I will tap more into that and kind of try to bring me — Ashley, the real person — to Charlotte, because I do feel like Charlotte really isn’t, the character I made is not relatable. If I could be ‘Charlotte’ in my real life, I would. In reality, if I wasn’t here right now, I’d be in sweats watching old episodes of Sex and the City. But no, I feel like at this stage in my career I’d like to pull the curtain back a little bit and show them like, hey I’ve been this hardcore, dominant b—- for however many years. But I’d like to also be able to high-five the kids as I walk down the aisle.”
Aleister Black Comments on Future of His Wrestling Career
As noted before, Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Fort Worth, Texas featured Aleister Black making his surprise return to WWE.
Wrestle & Flow’s Josiah Williams recently released a new mini-documentary video featuring Black. One of the topics discussed included Black’s thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and his current retirement plans.
“I’m 39. I hope that I have another five to eight years left in me. Physically, I feel great. I think this is the best I’ve looked physically as well. Technology changes, nutrition changes, science changes, sports science changes. You see athletes getting older and older and being able to perform at higher levels, even when they’re old. I definitely feel I’m part of that in certain aspects, but I have no illusions about this that the majority of my career is well past me, absolutely. That’s not a sad thing, that’s a good thing. Being able to survive for this long and staying relevant, I’d say that’s something I’m definitely proud of. Dedicated fanbase, we’re still doing good despite setback after setback after all the things that have happened, they’re all still there and it’s heartwarming to feel that a lot of people are still rooting for me. That’s something I think I lost sight of. You dive down into that darkness you feel and that misery you cling onto, especially when that’s what you’re used to your entire life. Going back to that first emotion you’re familiar of; everything is bad, everything will be falling down anyway. It doesn’t matter. To have that control is life-changing and that mechanism is the best thing I’ve learned over the last year. This is absolutely a part of me that has accepted, at age 39, I have five to eight years left, and I’m okay with that.”

Chelsea Green Comments on Her & WWE Women’s U.S. Title Being Left Off WrestleMania 41
Unlikely’s Adrian Hernandez held a recent interview with Chelsea Green. One of the topics discussed included Green’s thoughts about her and the WWE Women’s United States Championship being left off of WWE’s WrestleMania 41 event.
“At the end of the day, of course, after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show. I wanted them to be on the show. At the end of the day, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. The women who were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. Although I’m upset and I wish I could have been on it, I’m really proud of the girls.”
