As noted before, John Cena’s final match for his wrestling career will be taking place at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on December 13th in Washington, D.C.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials have held recent discussions regarding potential plans for Cena to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship and win the belt at this November’s Survivor Series WarGames 2025 event.
Meltzer reported that Cena would then be defending his newly won title against Gunther, who is still currently planned to be Cena’s final opponent for his in-ring wrestling career, at the December 13th WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show.
