Dion Lennox Hands Over NXT Tag Title Belt to Saquon Shugars To Be New Co-Champion for DarkState
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured DarkState declaring Saquon Shugars to be the new co-holder of the NXT Tag Team Championship with Osiris Griffin.
During the show, DarkState’s Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Shugars, and Griffin were seen backstage talking about Lennox’s upcoming Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline 2025. Lennox talked about how he wanted the group to all hold gold and claimed that he would be the next NXT Champion after he wins the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match. Lennox then handed over his NXT Tag title belt to group and they agreed to having Shugars replace Lennox as the new co-holder of the championship with Griffin.

Later in the show, it was announced that NXT General Manager Ava had made the title swap official for DarkState and Shugars and Griffin will now be representing the group for NXT Tag title matches.

Joe Hendry Profile Added to WWE’s Roster Page
As noted before, former TNA talent Joe Hendry signed an official contract with WWE earlier this month. Prior to his signing, Hendry had been making appearances on WWE’s NXT brand for over the past year as part of the current partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling.
In a recent update to WWE’s official roster page, Hendry’s profile was added to the NXT brand roster page confirming his signing with the company.
