Chris Jericho’s contract with AEW expired at the end of 2025 and had been absent from the company since this past April. During his time away, Jericho had reached out to WWE about a potential return to the company once his contract with AEW expires and WWE had offered Jericho a retirement storyline if he were to return to their company. Jericho has been rumored to be returning to WWE for the RAW Netflix anniversary show on Monday, January 5th.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce released a new video earlier today on Twitter advertising this Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his speech, Pearce teased at Jericho making his surprise return to WWE on the show.
“Do not forget, three humongous championship matches. Who can break down the walls and claim the gold?”
