Backstage Update on AEW’s Creative Plans for MJF After AEW World Title Loss
As noted before, last week’s AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru 2026 show in Everett, Washington featured Darby Allin defeating MJF to become the new AEW World Champion. MJF recently denied rumors of him taking a break from AEW for a new film project for the reason for his title loss.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that MJF is currently factored into AEW’s creative plans for next month’s Double or Nothing 2026 event. AEW officials reportedly also currently have MJF factored into creative plans well into this summer.
Those spoken to within AEW reportedly stated that the company seemed very pleased with MJF’s media appearances as of late. MJF had made a number of appearances in the lead-up to Dynasty 2026 promoting his AEW World title match with Kenny Omega at the event.
Kyle O’Reilly Comments on “Teaming With Roderick Strong And Orange Cassidy Has Been Awesome For My Career, I Can’t Get Enough Of It”
Bleacher Report held a recent interview with AEW World Trios Champion Kyle O’Reilly. One of the topics discussed included O’Reilly’s thoughts about his return from injury at AEW Dynasty 2026 and how he loves teaming with Roderick Strone and Orange Cassidy.
“It was extremely special just to come back. Nothing in life is guaranteed from a life standpoint, let alone from a matches standpoint. The chance to make moments in wrestling, none of those are guaranteed. So the fact that I did get to come back to the ring at all is a blessing in itself, let alone to happen in my hometown to win a championship. That’s extremely special. My family was there, my friends were there. It was a really special high-stakes, emotional night for sure. Teaming with those guys [Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy] has just been so awesome for my career in every aspect. I can’t get enough of it. Conglomeration for life.”
