Paul Wight Says He’s Down to 383 Pounds & Reveals New Weight Loss Goal
talkSPORT held a recent interview with Paul Wight. One of the topics discussed included Wight revealing that he is down to 383 pounds for his weight loss progress and currently has the goal of wanting to get down to 350 pounds.
“I’m only 383 (pounds) now, I’ve lost some weight. We’re doing good. I want to get down to about 350.”
Wight also gave his thoughts about him also having the goal of wanting to become an underwear model for Calvin Klein.
“I want to become a Calvin Klein underwear model, so I’m working on it. Their big and tall section. It’s kind of a big and tall and short, if you put it all together.”
Anthony Bowens Comments on Him Joining The Opps & There Being “A Lot Of Unfinished Business” with His Singles Run
As noted before, this past Saturday’s AEW Collision Playoff Palooza 2206 show featured Anthony Bowens becoming the newest member of The Opps.
DC 101’s Mike Jones held a recent interview with Bowens. One of the topics discussed included Bowens thoughts about him recently joining The Opps.
“Oh yes, it’s a badass crew of people. I’m excited to learn from Shibata, I’m excited to learn from Samoa Joe. HOOK needs to get in line a little bit because it seems like he’s having a little bit of an issue with me over the past couple of weeks. I don’t know why because he’s one of my good friends, but that’s something we’ll figure out as we go. I am very excited for this, I’ve been a little all over the place the last couple of months trying to find my spot on the programming.
Of course because I want to accomplish it all. I want to accomplish it all. I dominated the tag team division, tag team champion and trios champion. I want to be TNT Champion, Intercontinental Champion, World Champion. Joe, like you said, multiple time AEW World Champion. He’s a guy that I’m going to look towards to give me that advice to guide me on that path straight to the top of the singles division, straight to the top of AEW.”
In a separate recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, Bowens also gave his thoughts about him currently having a lot of unfinished business with his singles run in AEW.
“There’s lots because it didn’t — I won’t get into that right now. There was a lot of different moving parts that we didn’t foresee happening and it altered a lot of other things which led to where we are today. I think I’ll touch on that at some point in time, but there’s a lot of unfinished business.”
Bowens about his entrance song ‘Underground’ and how the Jane’s Addiction song was supposed to tie into the arc of his singles run.
“I picked that because not only — that’s what I dreamed of doing when I was in college, it was also tied into the character that I was trying to get — we never got to it, which is again stuff that I haven’t really spoke about publicly. We were working towards something. The Pride Of Professional Wrestling is more than just a play on words for my sexuality, it’s supposed to be a character similar to almost an early 2000s Kurt Angle where he’s this Olympic hero. In theory, he’s supposed to be the babyface that everybody loves but everybody wasn’t, they weren’t supporting. In the same sense with The Pride Of Professional Wrestling, it’s like, I came back and I got this hero’s welcome. It wasn’t going too well for me, all the agitation was going to Max Caster. They’re adding to this delusion that he’s the best wrestler alive or they’re cheering Adam Page, who is burning down co-workers homes, like that’s not a babyface, you should be cheering this guy. Look at all the stuff I’m doing, I’m the pride of the industry. The song ties into it, right off the opening riff — I try to find some love from up high but there just ain’t enough to go around — I’m trying to find love from everybody. The fans, people, Tony, but just not enough to go around, your attention is elsewhere. If you go through the song, it all equates to what this character was supposed to be. It took a bit of a turn, so now I’m adjusting and trying to figure things out. I’m in The Opps now, so we have to figure out how a lot of these things apply to a group setting.”

Charlie (Dakota Kai) Comments on She Would Love to Wrestle Willow Nightingale
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Charlie, former Dakota Kai in WWE, as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Charlie’s thoughts about AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale being one of the dream opponents she would like to share the ring with in the future.
“I have dream opponents just in general. I would love to wrestle Willow Nightingale. I know she’s all over the place right now, but there’s a bunch… and there’s a lot of new, newer girls coming up too that I just want to be able to wrestle and — not show them the ropes, but help them get to a point where they can have more matches and things like that. So, yeah, I don’t know, it’s so weird. I’ve got a list on my notes app of girlies I want to wrestle. Steph De Lander, another one that I’d love to wrestle again. We kind of had some matches in NXT, but not many. But I would love a singles match with her too, because she’s another one that’s insanely strong and just, I love being able to, like, be rag-dolled around, kind of my thing. But yeah, I don’t know, just having fun with my opponents and just looking at that perspective.”
