AEW Double or Nothing 2026 Media Scrum: AEW Profitability, TBS Title Situation To Be Addressed After Double or Nothing, Interest in Doing Rumored New AEW PPV Event This July, All In 2027 Location Plans, & Potential of Mick Foley Wrestling in AEW

AEW CEO Tony Khan held a media scrum today to promote this Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026 event at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • On the topic of AEW’s profitability as a company, Khan stated “Our revenue is the highest it’s ever been. I can’t comment on where we stand in terms of every expense year-to-year. Certainly, this is going to be the most revenue we’ve ever generated and the strongest financial outlook for the company ever. I’m reinvesting in a number of projects, including digital projects, to grow the company for the future. As far as how it’s accounted, I don’t have all the figures in front of me, but I can say it’s by far the most revenue we’ve ever brought in, and the future is the healthiest outlook. I’ll continue to reinvest in the business, developing new platforms and trying to open up new territories to grow the company. We’re launching some new projects and some international developments that will require investment that I think our smart moves. We are strongly positioned for the future of AEW. Now is the perfect time for me to double down on AEW because we’re going to be around for a very, very long time.
  • On the topic of Willow Nightingale’s recent shoulder injury and her vacting the TBS Championship, Khan stated that they expect to address the current situation with the now vacant TBS title after this weekend’s Double or Nothing 2026 event.
  • On the topic of the rumors of AEW holding a new pay-per-view event this July, Khan stated “When you asked about the pay-per-view in July, I am very interested in doing a pay-per-view in July. We have Forbidden Door in June, and then, at the end of August with All In. It’s something that could be very lucrative but also very additive. It can be additive and I would only do something like this if it’s additive. I take a lot of pride in the quality of the AEW pay-per-view shows. I think we bat a very high average in AEW and deliver great pay-per-view events, and I would only explore adding additional pay-per-view events to the AEW calendar if I feel that they’re going to be additive, and I think there are opportunities.
  • On the topic of if AEW will be returning to Wembley Stadium for next year’s All In event, Khan stated that he does not have his schedule planned for next year but he will continue to take “big swings” with the yearly event. Khan also stated that he is very excited for this year’s event in London.
  • On the topic of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley’s scheduled appearance for Double or Nothing 2026 and potential of Foley wrestling a match in AEW, Khan stated “I’m very excited that Mick Foley is joining AEW, and I cannot wait to see Cactus Jack back on TBS and I am very excited to have him at Double or Nothing this Sunday as part of The Buy-In and we’re just thrilled Mick’s gonna be co-hosting the event with Renee (Paquette). They’re good friends and when I suggested this to Mick, he thought it was a great idea, and he’s really thrilled about it because we are big fans of Mick and Mick loves pro wrestling… He’s gonna bring so much knowledge and insight to the wrestlers backstage and to the broadcast, starting this Sunday… I can’t speak for Mick Foley as to whether he’d want to wrestle or if he’s going to wrestle anytime soon but if he ever does, I would love for him to do it in AEW. But I also don’t wanna put him in a situation in which he’ll be uncomfortable. I want him to feel good about this and I know he’s taken so many big hits and had such an amazing career with so many spectacular moments, and physically, I would ever only ask him to wrestle if he felt up to it and that he could live up to the physical demand.
