AEW Files Lawsuit Against TrillerTV Over Around $5 Million in Overdue Payments for AEW PPV Events & AEW+ Service

Post Wrestling and Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that AEW filed a lawsuit against TrillerTV on April 29th in Duval County Court in Florida over claims of overdue payments.

Thurston reported that AEW is currently claiming that TrillerTV owes the company slightly under $5 million in unpaid revenues from AEW pay-per-view events and proceeds from the now discontinued AEW Plus subscription service.

In the lawsuit filing, AEW also alleges that TrillerTV’s parent company “[Triller Group Inc.’s] strategy of robbing revenues generated by TrillerTV’s distribution of AEW content to cover other of Defendants’ operating expenses (much of which was spent on the social media platform endeavor) negatively impacted its relationship with and payments owed to AEW.”

In the filing, AEW is claiming Triller committed breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and tortious interference, among other counts of action.

Thurston reported that Flipps Media Inc., the corporate entity underlying TrillerTV, had recently told the Delaware Chancery Court that the company is insolvent, which means it is unable to pay its debts. Thurston also reported that Flipps Media Inc. had previously filed a lawsuit against Triller Group, Inc claiming that TrillerTV was abandoned by the group.

In the lawsuit, AEW revealed the revenue splits they received from TrillerTV for their deal with the company. AEW was due 75% of the net revenue from domestic PPV sales and 65% of the net revenue from international PPV sales. In regards to AEW Plus, AEW received 60% of net revenue and Triller getting the remaining 40% of net revenue.

AEW also is alleging that Triller Group had “exploited the gap in timing between the point of sale and when payments to AEW were due.” AEW also stated it had sent written demands for payment to Triller in each of January and March 2025. Thurston reported that an April 2026 legal demand letter shows AEW’s outside counsel claiming $4,988,989.13 in payments were owed by Triller. This letter also stated that the amount is continuing to accrue interest at a rate of 2% per month in accordance with a contract, which was also filed in the case.

“Defendants failed to make the full payment due on March 1, 2025, paying a fraction of the total amount owed — despite the remittance being a mere percentage of the total revenue Defendants collected and had in its coffers from AEW viewers before wrongfully spending it on other ventures and expenses.”

TrillerTV discontinued their AEW Plus service this past April and is no longer distributing AEW PPV events following AEW launching their own MyAEW service this past March for their international markets. TrillerTV’s parent company Triller Group Inc. was officially delisted from NASDAQ at the end of December of 2025 due to serious financial-related issues affecting the comapny.
