As noted before, Sareee has been out of action from wrestling since this past mid-May due to her taking a break for treatment for a neck injury issue. Despite her currently being out of action, Sareee was announced to be competing in this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament for AEW. Sareee is currently scheduled to be facing off against Skye Blue in a First Round match at this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show.
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Sareee. One of the topics discussed included Sareee providing an update on her neck injury stating that her neck currently is not yet back to being at full strength.
Sareee also stated that her SPARK RUSH partner Takumi Iroha will be traveling with her and be in her corner for her scheduled Women’s Owen Hart Cup against Blue. Sareee also stated that if she is unable to be cleared to compete in time, then Iroha will be her replacement for the match.
