Thunder Rosa on Her Comparisons Between Winning Championships In AEW and CMLL & Her Belief “The Characters In AEW Are Completely Edgy In Comparison To Other Places”

WTHR held a recent interview with Thunder Rosa. One of the topics discussed included Rosa’s thoughts about her comparisons between winning championships in AEW and CMLL.

“So this is the Campeonato Nacional Femenil of CMLL. This is a sister company that we work with, and I recently just earned this title. This is a national title, and only women that have been born in Mexico can actually get this championship.

So it’s an honor because as someone who’s Mexican-American and did all my career, especially here in the United States and with All Elite Wrestling, going back to my home and earning this, it has been something amazing, just as I did when I won the AEW Women’s World title as the first Mexican-born wrestler to do that.”

In a separate recent interview with The Rockin’ Ride Home podcast, Rosa also gave her thoughts about the characters in AEW and the differences compared to characters in other wrestling promotions.

“I just think the characters are completely edgy in comparison to other places, and also the level of wrestling is completely different than other places.”

Rosa also gave her thoughts about if she reconsiders what she is doing when she competes in hardcore matches.

“Yeah, absolutely. But then I think about, okay… let’s make this memorable. So it means something not only for me, for my partner, but also for the story and what we’re trying to tell.”
