Larry Shipley, better known to pro wrestling fans as Larry Nelson, passed away on Monday night after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
According to friends of Nelson, he knew about two weeks ago that he only had a few weeks left to live.
Nelson was best known as his time as an announcer for Verne Gagne’s AWA promotion.
