John Cena is finally turning heel…but only for a film. Deadline reports that Cena is set to play a villainous role in The Nest, which will also star Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is directing the film from a script by Paula Pell.
The Nest stars Fey and Poehler as two estranged sisters who decide to throw a last party at their house which their parents are about to sell. While Cena’s character details have not officially been announced, the site says that it will in fact be a villainous turn and makes note that this would be his first time playing a bad guy, either in the ring or on the big screen, in over twelve years.
The film will release on December 18th, 2015 which means that Cena will be facing off with Star Wars: Episode VII.
