— As announced by Triple H on this week’s WWE Main Event broadcast, John Cena has activated his rematch clause for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title and he’ll face Brock Lesnar at the WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday, September 1st, 2014.

— Adam Rose defeated Fandango in the dark match prior to the WWE Main Event TV tapings in Phoenix, AZ. Rose won the five-minute match with the Party Foul and a pin.

— Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston in the dark match after the WWE Main Event TV tapings but before the SmackDown TV tapings. Cesaro won in 7:45 after he hit the Neutralizer in a match held after Main Event.
