— Rockstar Spud vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight championship will take place on next Wednesday night’s Destination X TNA iMPACT! Wrestling special on Destination America. Following the match, Austin Aries will “cash in” his briefcase and face either Rockstar Spud or Kurt Angle – whoever is the champion after their match. As noted, Austin Aries’ TNA contract expires this month and as of last word, the two had not come to terms on a new deal.
— TNA will begin running live events again at the end of the summer or in the fall. They added a new show for September 19 in Rostraver, Pennsylvania. Their first live event since 2014 is set for September 17 in York, Pennsylvania.
