WWE has won its motion for a change of venue in Billy Jack Haynes’ lawsuit against them. A judge in the Portland hearing on the lawsuit ruled today that the case should be moved to US District court in Connecticut.
Haynes, real name William Albert Haynes III, is suing WWE for alleged mistreatment for wrestlers and the WWE’s disregard of wrestler safety. In addition, Haynes is asking the court to grant class-action status for about 500 workers who suffered injuries while performing in the WWE.
The judge in the case didn’t rule on the merits of WWE’s motion to dismiss the case, referring that to the Connecticut court.
