UPDATE: According to sources, there was a memorial held for Roddy Piper on August 17th (Monday night) at the Comedy Store in Hollywood.

The event was an invitation only event, with Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Sr., Mando Guerrero, Lisa Marie Varon, Rick Bassman (he helped arrange it), Austin Aries, Gene LeBell, Rock Riddle, Bas Rutten, Josh Barnett, Dave Marquez, Will Sasso and Johnny Mundo all in attendance.

Roddy Piper’s daughter Falon Toombs and DDP were also in attendance and spoke with TMZ.com following the event:

ORIGINAL: In an interview with TMZ at the memorial for Roddy Piper, his daughter Falon Toombs spoke about the service. She said she enjoyed it and was surprised by all the stories from the wrestlers as she only ever knew him as her father. She said he never shared stories of his time as a wrestler with her. She also talked about learning that her father wrestled a bear once.
