UPDATE: According to reports, Balls Mahoney took a bad fall several days ago, severely hurting his hip. The late ECW original had been using a walker since and took ill before passing away.

ORIGINAL: According to Chris Candido’s brother Jonny, Jonathan “Balls Mahoney” Rechner has passed away. Candido claims the news came directly from Rechner’s wife. RF Video founder Rob Feinstein also says he talked to his wife and the news in true.

There are no other details of this writing. Mahoney had just celebrated his 44th birthday on Monday.
