According to sources, WWE really wanted Will Ospreay for the Cruiserweight Classic. Ospreay signed a two-year deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, which is what ruled him out of the tournament. Ospreay won this year’s NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Tournament.
