— The New York Wrestling Connection has announced that Matt Striker will appear at their September 24th show to raise money for the Autism Speaks charity. Striker will be holding his “Matt Striker’s Classroom” interview segment.

— As noted earlier here on the website, former WWE Diva Serena made a surprise return to the ring at Saturday’s SHIMMER DVD taping in Berwyn, Illinois. The former Straight Edge Society member defeated Kelly Skater in what was described as a “great match.” While Serena’s 90-day no-compete clause with WWE prohibits her from appearing on national television for rival wrestling organizations, she is still able to work independent shows.
