GFW’s Streaming Network Accidentally Briefly Launches

GFW’s new streaming service that they officially announced last week, “Global Wrestling Network,” briefly launched accidentally yesterday at GlobalWrestlingNetwork.com, but has now been taken offline.

According to PWInsider, they were apparently working on the website yesterday before publicly launching it, but it was left publicly visible and anyone visiting the site could stream all of the available content for free. After the news of the website being live went around the internet, they finally took it offline.

When the site was briefly up, there was a video saying that the service would cost $5.99 a month and include archived GFW/Impact/TNA shows, discounts on live PPVs (so live PPVs seem like they won’t be available to stream), discounts on merchandise, and content from international promotions “coming soon.” It was also mentioned that it was available on the iOS and Android app stores and would be coming soon to Roku, Xbox and Amazon Fire TV.

Ed Nordholm said last week that the service would cost $7.99 a month, so we’ll see which one it is when it finally launches. On Friday, he said it would launch “next week.”
