The 2019 Royal Rumble will take place at Chase Field in Phoenix on Jan. 27, 2019. This will mark the first time a Royal Rumble has been held inside a Major League ballpark and the third time WWE has chosen a large facility to host the Royal Rumble, following San Antonio hosting the event at The AlamoDome in 1997 and 2017.
John Saboor, WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events, told AZCentral that “We have an incredibly rich history and heritage of presenting WWE events in the Valley of the Sun. In many respects, this serves as an exciting opportunity to work with longstanding and new partners in Phoenix to create four nights of memories.”
Chase Field seats 49,000 spectators currently but one can expect floor seating to add an additional number of seats in the range of 10,000 – 12,000.
