WWE Seemingly Writes Aleister Black Out of His TakeOver Match (Video)

On tonight’s NXT episode, William Regal announced that at TakeOver Brooklyn, there would be a triple threat match for the NXT Championship between Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black.

Of course, this match was taped a couple of weeks ago, before Aleister Black suffered an injury that required surgery after being crotched on the top rope at a house show match.

It was reported earlier today that Black will likely not be medically cleared in time to return for the match at TakeOver on August 18.

After NXT aired tonight, WWE put out a video on their social media pages where Aleister Black was “found unconscious in the parking lot,” which, if the reports about his injury status are true, will be how they write Black out of the TakeOver match.

The angle is done in a pretty interesting way and establishes multiple suspects. Gargano is seen walking away from the parking lot, the Undisputed Era drive off, and Heavy Machinery are even shown watching and drinking alcohol.
