WWE does not have Harper booked for any future events and are still unwilling to grant his release, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Harper’s contract with WWE currently does not expire until April 2020, with WWE extending it for six months due to time he missed with an injury last year.
Meltzer also reported that Harper recently had a meeting with Vince McMahon requesting to be released this November, the original expiration date of his contract, if the company was no longer going to use him anymore. It was reported that Vince told Harper to discuss these issues with Triple H, who then did not respond to him.
As noted before, Luke Harper requested his release from WWE last month due to issues with the direction of his career in the company. WWE has been unwilling to grant his release and Vince McMahon reportedly has some issues with Harper.
