WWE Cancels Several Shows for November’s European Tour Due to Next Saudi Event

WWE has recently made several changes to their events schedule for the month of November due to plans for their next Saudi event, according to various sources.

Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported that WWE recently sent an email to fans who purchased tickets for the November 11th episode of RAW in Glasgow, Scotland informing them that the event will no longer be a television taping and instead has been downgraded to house show status.

While no official reason was given for the change, it is currently speculated that this decision was due to WWE’s next Saudi event, which is rumored to be taking place in early November. John Pollock reported that the next Saudi event very likely will not be held on its usual Friday date due to scheduling issues caused by SmackDown’s upcoming move to Fridays on FOX.

Other events originally scheduled for WWE’s upcoming November European tour have also been recently cancelled. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the November 5th event in Nottingham, the November 6th event in Birmingham, the November 8th event in London, and the November 9th event in Minehead, England were all recently cancelled by the company.

Another event in the tour, the November 8th SmackDown Live event in Manchester, England was also recently changed to now be a dual-taping of RAW and SmackDown Live. Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that both the cancelled November 11th RAW taping in Glasgow and the double television tapings on November 8th in Manchester are directly related to WWE’s current plans for their next Saudi event.
