WWE recently announced a new airing date for the postponed Kevin Nash episode of their Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions series on the WWE Network and NBC Peacock. This episode is now currently scheduled to air on July 18th, which is the same date as WWE’s upcoming Money in the Bank 2021 event.
In regards to the reason why the episode was pulled from its original July 11th air date, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within the company stated that it was due to recent internal changes made within WWE’s TV department. Johnson reported that WWE officials recently decided to make changes in their strategy and rollout for original content on the WWE Network following the merging of several divisions in that department. WWE reportedly also made the decision due to the company having many people working in new positions within the department and some growing pains associated with everyone not being on the same page yet.
In regards to the postponed WWE Icons: Lex Luger episode, Johnson reported that WWE officials currently have not decided on a new date for the episode.
WWE officials also reportedly have recently shelved their plans for the postponed WWE Untold: The Nexus episode. Work on several other projects for the WWE Network reportedly has also recently been put on pause for the time being.
