D’Lo Brown will no longer be on the Impact commentary team going forward and will be replaced by Matthew Rehwoldt, formerly known as Aiden English in WWE.
PWInsider says that the decision “was not a slight at Brown” and Impact was “always happy” with him, but Brown also works behind the scenes in talent relations and as a producer, and with Impact returning to the road and doing live commentary, being at the commentary table all night meant that he wasn’t available for his other duties. Previously, a lot of the commentary would be done after the show as opposed to live.
Brown was recently written off of TV by being attacked by the Honor No More stable and was replaced by Rehwoldt. In January, Tom Hannifan (formerly Tom Phillips) replaced Matt Striker as the lead play by play man for Impact.
