AEW reportedly is currently estimated to have generated around 155,000 pay-per-view buys for this past Sunday’s Double or Nothing 2022 event, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that AEW’s streaming buys for Double or Nothing 2022 in the United States were very close to the amount generated for AEW’s Revolution 2022 event this past March. Meltzer reported that early numbers from traditional cable pay-per-view providers in the United States were around 8.3% lower than what Revolution 2022 had generated. Meltzer also reported that the decline in cable PPV buys from outside the United States was larger based on early numbers.
Meltzer reported that tracking level for Double or Nothing 2022 going into the event was at an identically level to AEW’s Full Gear 2021 event, which generated around 150,000 buys in total.
Last year’s Double or Nothing event drew between 134,000 to 140,000 PPV buys.
