FTR AEW Contracts Status Update

As noted before, FTR made their surprise AEW return at this past Sunday’s Revolution 2023 event in San Francisco, California. Following the AEW World Tag Team Championship 4-Way match, which was won by The Gunns to retain their titles, the Gunns gave a post-match promo boasting about them being the best tag team in the world. Their promo was interrupted by FTR’s surprise return, who proceeded to beat up the Gunns.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that FTR are currently believed to have recently signed new long-term deals to stay in AEW for the foreseeable future. Johnson reported that FTR’s recent absence from AEW programming and teases of them leaving the company was done just for storyline reasons.

Prior to the signing, Dax Harwood had teased that FTR’s contracts with AEW would be expiring this April.

AEW Revolution 2023 News & Notes

WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie Bella, reportedly were in attendance backstage at this past Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2023 event in San Francisco, California, according to PWInsider.

Besides MJF’s incident with a young fan at the event, another fan incident reportedly took place at this past Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2023 event, according to PWInsider. Mike Johnson reported that this incident involved a fan being ejected from the venue by security after it was discovered that this person had thrown a bottle of water from their seat about half-way up the building that landed on the arena floor. Johnson reported that this was the reason for the “You F***ed Up” chants by the crowd during the event.

This past Sunday’s event featured Hangman Adam Page and MJF getting special live music for their entrances. AEW music composer Mickey Rukus recently stated on Twitter that Page’s entrance theme was the song “[Ghost] Riders in the Sky” by The Outlaws. MJF’s special entrance was a live performance of the intro beats to his theme song by a musical orchestra.

AEW’s Revolution 2023 event this past Saturday reportedly generated around 50,000 searches and a #12 ranking on Google for that day, according to the Wrestling Observer.
