As noted before, Roxanne Perez has been out of action for WWE since the March 7th NXT Roadblock special due to her suffering a storyline injury following her match against Meiko Satomura for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that the reason why NXT officials booked a storyline injury angle for Perez is due to her currently dealing with an undisclosed medical issue. Meltzer reported that this medical issue is not injury-related or something that would prevent her from wrestling. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Perez was seen training at the Performance Center following her match against Satomura on the show.
Those spoken to stated that there is a possibility that Perez will need to take time off for this medical issue that could range from being a short break to a potentially long break depending on the results of her medical tests.
