Matt Jackson Biceps Injury Update

Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that Jackson’s injury rehab is currently expected to last for around six to eight weeks, which would mean that he could be back in time for AEW’s Double or Nothing 2023 event this May in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meltzer reported that AEW officials current have a “very strong hope” that Jackson will be medically cleared in time for the event or shortly after it.

Thunder Rosa Back Injury Update & Comments on Britt Baker’s Statement

As noted before, Thunder Rosa has been out of action for AEW since this past September due to her suffering a spinal-related injury. During her time away, Rosa has been working in AEW’s Spanish commentary team since this past February.

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast had Rosa as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rosa providing an update on the status of her back injury.

“Well, that鈥檚 a question that everybody asked me during the signing. Unfortunately, I wasn鈥檛 cleared and I don鈥檛 think I鈥檓 gonna be cleared any time soon. I need another MRI.”

Rosa also gave her thoughts about the comments made by Britt Baker on the debut episode of AEW’s All Access show regarding the bad blood between the two backstage in the company.

“Like I said in my song (that I sang earlier), if they don鈥檛 speak good about me, it鈥檚 good because I send them blessings.

It鈥檚 something that I鈥檒l say and I鈥檒l continue to say. If I wouldn鈥檛 have had that (Lights Out) match (with Britt Baker), then a lot of people wouldn鈥檛 know who Thunder Rosa is, you know? You gotta give respect to who gives respect. That moment in our careers, we both helped each other to do something different and we were able to elevate each other to a point where we are where we are, right? I mean for so long, I was on the indies grinding and trying to make a name for myself and going on Busted Open so people knew who I was. Knocking on doors and people shutting them completely in my face but that night, I was able to do something beautiful with her and I cherish that. There鈥檚 a moment in my career I really cherish and it鈥檚 that because it changed the perspective on women鈥檚 wrestling in so many ways. But, again, there鈥檚 a lot of controversy going on. I am not gonna say anything because I don鈥檛 have to say anything. Like I said, I鈥檝e said it multiple times, I鈥檓 just gonna send them blessings and there鈥檚 something very important that somebody told me and when somebody says something hurtful, when you have the buttons, when you button your shirt, you just let it go to where the button is. It cannot penetrate your heart and penetrate your mind and I鈥檓 just gonna keep going and try to be a better person for me, for you guys, for my family and that鈥檚 it. That鈥檚 all that I can do.”
