Dakota Kai Reportedly Suffered Torn ACL Injury
Dakota Kai reportedly suffered a torn ACL injury at the May 12th WWE SmackDown show in Knoxville, Tennessee, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Kai had suffered the injury during the same WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match that also resulted in Liv Morgan suffering an unknown injury as well.
Johnson reported that Kai is currently expected to be out of action for at least the next six months.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer reported that their sources stated that Kai had suffered an injury following a spot where she tried to protect Morgan from further injury after Morgan had suffered an injury. This reportedly led to Kai suffering a knee injury as a result. Meltzer reported that Kai is currently scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday for her torn ACL injury.
Liv Morgan Injury Status Update
As noted before, Liv Morgan suffered an unknown injury during last week’s SmackDown show in Knoxville, Tennessee. Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were originally scheduled to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at this past Monday’s RAW show but their match was postponed and later dropped due to Morgan and Rodriguez vacating their tag team titles over Morgan’s injury situation.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Morgan had suffered a shoulder-related injury that is currently believed to be a rotator cuff tear injury. Johnson reported that WWE officials currently do not expect Morgan to return from her injury any time soon.
