Prior to the announcement, AEW’s plans for the United Center being the location for Collision’s debut show had been in doubt following recent backstage issues involving CM Punk and AEW. These issues had revolved around a dispute over Ace Steel’s recent rehiring to the company and terms that did not allow him to be backstage at AEW shows, specifically for AEW’s news Collision brand. These issues were believed to have been resolved ahead of AEW’s Dynamite show tonight.
