WWE reportedly currently has plans in place for several matches of their upcoming SummerSlam 2023 event on August 5th at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, according to the Wrestling Observer Live.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE officials currently have plans in place for six matches and tentative plans for one other match for the card of this year’s SummerSlam event.
In regards to the current plans for the official matches, Meltzer reported that these matches currently are expected to be:
- Undisputed WWE Universal Championship – Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns (c)
- WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat match – Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair vs. Asuka (c)
- Intercontinental Championship – Drew McIntyre vs. Gunther (c)
- Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
- Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
- Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
In regards to the current plans for the tentative match, Meltzer reported that this will be a “showcase” match of Logan Paul vs. mystery opponent. Meltzer reported that WWE officials have yet to decide on who will be Logan’s opponent for his match at the event.
