As noted before, this past Wednesday’s Dynamite show in Duluth, Georgia featured Kazuchika Okada making his official full-time debut for AEW. Okada’s contract with AEW is currently believed to be for three years in length and worth around $4 million per year.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Okada will be working a full-time schedule in AEW and will be moving to the United States. It was reported that it is currently not known if this decision was from AEW or something Okada had decided upon for his AEW career.
It was also reported that those spoken to confirmed that Okada’s deal is for three years but they were not able to confirm if the monetary amount of around $4.5 million per year was correct.
In regards to WWE, it was reported that those spoken to within WWE stated that there were no talks between the two sides for a potential deal. Those spoken to reportedly did confirm that Okada had reached out to some WWE talents while he was weighing his options for a new contract.
In regards to Kenny Omega being fired from The Elite and replaced with Okada teasing a future match between the two, it was reported that a potential timetable for Omega’s return is still currently not known.
