Dominik Mysterio Elbow Injury Status Update
As noted before, Dominik Mysterio has been out of action for WWE since this past mid-April due to an elbow injury.
A recent episode of The Ringer’s The Masked Man Show podcast featured Mysterio as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Mysterio providing an update on his recovery from his elbow injury.
“Arm is good. It’s healing up good. I had a slight tear in my Tommy John ligament, which was kind of a freak accident in the wrestling world because it’s a baseball injury. About six to eight weeks. I’ve been doing two times a week for rehab. I’m just trying to get healthy and get back out there to help Judgment Day so they can physically start hurting again.”

New WWE Reality Series & Docuseries Currently Planned for Netflix
J.P. Morgan held their annual J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media, & Communications Conference earlier today. Among the guests included TKO Group President Mark Shapiro. One of the topics discussed included Shapiro revealing that a new WWE-themed reality series and docuseries are currently being planned to be produced for Netflix.
“It is contemplated in our deal. We will do a lot of ancillary and shoulder programming, and I think the very first genre you’ll see out of WWE in terms of ancillary programming will be a ‘Drive to Survive’ show. That’s contemplated for the first season, and we’ll also do some documentaries, probably on a few of our superstars.”
On the topic of a potential launch date for WWE’s new programming on Netflix, Shapiro stated that it is currently expected to launch during the first year of WWE’s media rights deal with Netflix.
“Our current deal is up at the end of the year for WWE, but I would expect to see a Drive to Survive-type show next year, to go along with the first of our live telecasts.”
