Keith Lee has been absent from AEW since this past December’s Collision Holiday Bash show. Lee had underwent two surgeries for undisclosed issues in early 2024.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Lee has still yet to be cleared for an in-ring return due to an undisclosed medical issue. No other details were given regarding Lee’s current health situation.
AEW officials reportedly had planned for Lee vs. Swerve Strickland match to take place at this past December’s Worlds End event and would have been the big story resolution of their split as a team from the year prior. Those plans were dropped following Lee being sidelined and he has not been back since then.
It was reported that Lee has not been in attendance backstage at AEW shows in quite some time nor have AEW officials factored him in any creative plans.
It was also reported that Lee remains on AEW’s roster and is still under contract with the company.
